Lift Better is operated by Thomas Bennett, UK-based. We are not yet a registered company.

  • Workout data: Workout logs, performance, training history

  • Billing information: (Only if you purchase a premium plan; handled by Stripe)

We collect data when you:

  • Register an account or fill out your profile
  • Log workouts or interact with training plans
  • Communicate with us (e.g., support or feedback)
  • Use the app and its features (certain technical data is automatically collected by our servers)

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide, personalize, and improve the Service (e.g., generate tailored workout plans)
  • Manage your account and send notifications (e.g., training reminders, app updates)

In the future, we may use your data for billing purposes if you purchase a premium plan.

We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us operate our app, under strict data processing agreements:

  • OpenAI: For generating personalized workout plans via AI
  • Render: For hosting and operating the app and its infrastructure
  • SendGrid: For sending account-related emails
  • Stripe (planned): For handling premium subscriptions and billing
  • Google Ads (planned): For serving ads to free users (see Cookies and Tracking)

These providers may process your data outside the UK/EU, but only under legal safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate mechanisms.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We currently use cookies only as strictly necessary for authentication and app functionality.

When Google Ads is enabled, additional cookies and tracking technologies may be used to serve relevant ads and measure effectiveness. You will be notified and able to manage your consent when this is implemented.

7. Data Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including:

  • Passwords stored securely (hashed and salted)
  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
